PPA Coordinators Hail Princewill’s transition into the All Progressive Congress

The leadership of all the 23 Local Government Area coordinators and the membership of the Princewill Political Associates (PPA) in Rivers State have heartily congratulated Prince Tonye .T.J.T Princewill on what they described as his very “smooth and seamless transition” into the All Progressive Congress (APC) and his assumption of a key role in the affairs of the party

A statement signed by the coordinators – Tamunotonye Lily (PHALGA) – Chairman and Gift Awor (ONELGA) – Secretary and made available to journalists in Port Harcourt, Rivers State said, “We commend him for the vision in setting up a transition committee saddled with the sole responsibility of migrating all members of the PPA, his admirers and supporters interested in joining the All Progressive Congress (APC). The process has been a huge success with a total so far of 32,729 active members now duly registered across the state without noise but in anticipation of an official reception.”

They thanked Rt. (Hon) Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi (CON), Honourable Minister for Transportation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for welcoming them back with love and an open heart, adding that his trust in Princewill, even when others have abused that same trust, speaks volumes.

“We commend him for his unique display of courage and pragmatic leadership and want to assure him this will move the APC in the state and the South South zone forward. We hereby promise to work hard, with other committed members of the APC to achieve the set objectives and goals of the party by demonstrating the real meaning of grassroots” the coordinators said.

PPA also declared their total support and unalloyed loyalty to Hon. Amaechi and the entire leadership of the party in the state.

“We will work with whoever they bring. We also wish to congratulate Senator Andrew Uchendu on his victory and subsequent swearing in as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We also congratulate other APC candidates whose victories were affirmed by the court of appeal and wish them well in the discharge of their responsibilities.”

“Finally, we want to say a big thank you to the state chairman and other executives of the party at the state, LGA, ward and unit levels for the warm reception and co-operation they’ve accorded us in the execution of this noble task. We could not feel more at home.”

Ogoni APC Stakeholders/ Leadership Forum

Resolution of meeting of 3/11/2017

At a meeting held in LEMACO Hall at number 24/26 Ada George Road in PHC, national, state, LGA and ward executives, appointees and major stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the four (4) Ogoni-speaking LGAs of Rivers  State resolved as follows:

  1. Affirm our unquestioning loyalty  to the Party at the state & national levels, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s leadership in Rivers State & the south-south geopolitical zone& President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR. We are resolutely committed to-, & totally supportive of the current APC rebuilding/repositioning efforts by the state party & Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi in Rivers State.
  1. We are thankful to President Muhammadu Buhari , Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi & the party for the many appointments made to party men from Ogoni, and major ongoing projects in Ogoniland. Worthy of mention is the naming of Derek Mene to the position of Exec. Director (Finance/Admin.) in NDDC & H.E Oji Ngofa’s posting as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Netherlands. Some notable ongoing projects in Ogoniland include the commencement of the previously stalled Ogoni Environmental Restoration and the commencement of the Bodo-Bonny Road project.
  1. We view  with concern the unwholesome activities of groups unknown to the APC in Ogoni & Rivers State, especially as they utilize the name and insignia of the party to cause mischief and hoodwink unsuspecting Ogoni people. These groups which only serve the self serving aspiration(s) of their sponsors & protagonists,  have the tendency to cause disunity in the APC in Rivers State and pose a grave threat to public peace.
  1. We advise the generality of Ogoni APC party faithful to be mindful of events fronted by these groups and their sponsors under the guise of the APC in Ogoniland. These events should  shunned, with the boycott commencing from the event called by one of such groups & their sponsors planned for the police field in Bori today.
  1. We urge the party at the state and national levels to take immediate steps to stop the activities these groups and their sponsors, so as to assert party discipline. This is imperative as INEC has not lifted the lid on commencement of political campaigns in Rivers State.
  1. Finally, we urge the party to continue to step-up activities aimed at empowering the teeming party men and women in Ogoni, which remains a bastion of strength for the APC in Rivers State.

Boss Appointment: Tonic for Economic Revival, Stability of Governance and Probity – Rivers APC

Boss Appointment: Tonic for Economic Revival, Stability of Governance and Probity – Rivers APC

….Hails President Buhari for the appointment

Rivers State All Progressives Congress (APC) commends President Muhammadu Buhari for the appointment of Barr Boss Gida Mustapha as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and expressed happiness that his appointment is what is needed at the moment to reinvigorate both the economy, restore stability and direction for governance in Nigeria.

The party in the press statement circulated on Monday by Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze the SSA Media and Public Affairs Consultant to the APC Rivers State Chairman, Dr Ibiamu Davies Ikanya made these remarks and further stated that, “the appointment of Mustapha as the new SGF is the tonic needed by the APC led Federal Government to reinvigorate the fight against corruption, revive the economy, restore hope to Nigerians and provide the elusive dividends of democracy to all and sundry.”

In view of the sensitivity of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation being the engine room with the core responsibility to ensure the success of the polices of this administration,  what the APC government needs at this point is not only a patriotic, seasoned and sound bureaucrat but a detribalised Nigerian who is well versed in the politics of Nigeria and one who contributed and witnessed the inputs of party members for the success of APC during the 2015 polls and we are happy that Boss Mustapha fits that bill.

Mustapha’s track record of great feats was demonstrated during his short slot as the Managing Director/CEO of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), an agency under the ministry of transportation. Apart from this,  his outstanding inputs as the Secretary of the APC presidential campaign organization in 2015 that worked for Buhari’s election with Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi as the Director General that brought the APC govt into existence need not be overemphasized.

What many Nigerians may not know about this child of destiny is that he is the National Vice President, Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship international Nigeria. He was the Chairman People’s Solidarity Party in the defunct Gongola State (1989-1990), State Chairman, Social Democratic Party, Gongola State (1990-1991) and most importantly contested SDP primaries against Atiku Abubakar for the gubernatorial ticket for SDP in Adamawa state in 1991, a feat that simply attest that Boss Mustapha is not only well versed but a tested hand in the politics of Nigeria.

An accomplished lawyer, astute, fearless, honest, loyal and committed politician, SGF Boss Mustapha once served as the Deputy National Chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria from 2010 to 2013. As a member of APC Transition Committee (2015) and a member of APC Board of Trustees marks SGF Mustapha as a thorough APC man.

With the feats of this energetic, vibrant, virile and committed fellow as the new SGF, Nigerians can now go and sleep with their two eyes closed as Boss Mustapha will surely not only deliver but will turn things around and ensure the success of this present administration in all its policy implementation.

The party also commends President Buhari for resolving to expand the Federal Executive Council (FEC) with the appointment of more ministers and appointment of more supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) into the government with the constitution of the boards of government agencies. We are convinced as a political party that once this is done the re-election of the APC led Government come 2019 will be a foregone event.

Finally, the party pleads with all Nigerians to exercise patience and give President Buhari the opportunity to take this country to the desired destination that will make her the envy of most advanced countries in the world.
